--"What makes you pull out some pen and paper? A lyric? Quote from a book? Something you hear on TV? I fire one have piles of notebooks filled with snippets saved from all of the above and more. Plus the journal by my bed for those infamous 2 am, half asleep thoughts that never make sense in the morning. But all of it is worth the one idea or the one poem that comes out great from a late night idea or a dream. If you look in the corner you can see a book from my favorite port @nikita_gill. Who is your favorite?"
After spending a handful of hours in a small cafe writing, I decided to take a break and make a small post to Instagram. I have always been a firm believer that journaling is a great way to express yourself and get your thoughts out of your mind. Whether that be a nicely clean and organized bullet journal, or a full notebook filled with post-it notes and different colored pens and smudges. Whatever works for you is exactly what you need. Sometimes you might just need to jot down a quote ore two, sometimes you might need to fill pages with unsaid thoughts. Today was a day where I wrote down a few of my favorite poems so that I can look back at them later. My absolute favorite poem is 93 Percent Stardust, by Nikita Gill.
